GET TO KNOW JO!

Hey friends! I’m Johanna Quigley, and I am thrilled to welcome you to my little website.

Outside of acting, I have found myself using my background in piano for arranging, transcribing, and accompanying for my peers. Having been raised by two pianists, I find myself at the piano when I need to decompress, probably playing and singing along to any somber song written by Donald Fagen.

I don’t shy away from the fact that I am a woman of many passions. I believe there is no such thing as love wasted. A bit below are some more facets of life that I’ve found myself enamored with. Thank you for reading, and I look forward to connecting with you!

Being from the Midwest simply begs you to acquire a list of hobbies from the moment you become cognizant enough to realize that there isn’t much goin’ on otherwise where you live. Naturally, I’ve fallen in love with many a trade outside of acting as well. Take a scroll and see, if you find yourself curious!

  • choral endeavors

    choir was my club sport growing up, and I’ve continued to be a part of it since. my membership in the TCU Concert Chorale is what my choral experience built up to. getting to perform at TMEA and ACDA this past year was a true blessing. click here to see a solo of mine in Trent Reznor’s “Hurt.”

  • assistant stage management

    i’ve had the pleasure of delving into the world of stage management for multiple collegiate productions, and have come out with an ability to problem-solve at the speed of light, a small dent in my head from the headset, and an appreciation for actors who say “thank you,” stagewright, and fog machines.

  • symphonic endeavors

    ever since I feasted my eyes upon a saxophone in my 10th year of life, I knew I needed to master the instrument. a decade later, my love for the saxophone has seen multiple orchestra pits, the TCU Marching Band, and not a single cover of Careless Whisper (and I’m keeping it that way).

  • crochet

    a favorite hobby of my late grandmother, the art of crochet has needled itself into my heart over the past decade, especially following her passing. nothing brings me more joy than creating clothing and gifts for my loved ones, even in the wake of the crochet bucket hat debacle of 2021, i persisted and will continue to.

  • parkinsons' art of expression

    one of the things that does draw me back to KC is the Parkinson’s Exercise and Wellness gym I help teach the Art of Expression classes for. taking theatrical practices and using it directly to aid in the recovery of people who struggle with Parkinson’s disease. click here for more info on the work the PEWC does!
